Introduction to the Okinawa Baseball Museum
The Okinawa Baseball Museum opened in 2010 and displays valuable information about baseball in Okinawa. It's a must-see for anyone interested in learning more about Okinawa baseball.

That day, I happened to be attending the third-place game of the 72nd Okinawa Prefectural High School Baseball Spring Tournament. I was surprised to see so many teams on this small island of Okinawa. Baseball truly is Japan's national sport, and it's well-deserved.

The wealthy man watched the exciting live game from the broadcast studio on the first floor. The view from this angle was truly unique. The pitcher's pitch went into the catcher's mitt instantly, incredibly fast. And then there were the deafening cheers. The immersive experience was 100%.

The Okinawa Professional Baseball League was established in 1948. Since then, baseball has gradually become a national pastime for residents of Okinawa Prefecture. Okinawa's first baseball player is Sohachi Arinya.

In memory of the former president of the Okinawa Prefectural High School Baseball League – Fukuhara Asaetsu, who founded the Okinawa Prefectural High School Baseball League in 1956 and devoted a lot of effort to the development of Okinawa high school baseball and the training of players.

The various commemorative balls, trophies, medals and souvenirs were very novel to the little rich man.

In 1945, Furuza High School from Okinawa won the Shimada Cup for the first time.

The winning flag from the 1948 Nansei Islands Championship was handmade from parachute cloth! Filled with memories of World War II, the wealthy man considered it a truly memorable piece.

In 1958, Okinawa Shuri High School became the first team from Okinawa Prefecture to participate in the 40th National High School Baseball Championship. The Shuri High School baseball team brought the game ball back to Okinawa as a souvenir.

A commemorative item for the Heungnan Cyclones, who reached the semifinals of the Okinawa high school team for the first time in 1968.

Active Japanese and American professional baseball players from Okinawa. I really hope Taiwan can produce more overseas stars.

There are short videos to watch inside the museum, but to be honest, there isn't much to see in the Baseball Museum, so you should be able to finish it in 30 minutes.
