Before the Lunar New Year, I visited the newly opened creative and cultural hotel in Tainan – Papu Hotel. To be honest, I was a little scared after reading the Google reviews, but I still took a gamble.
Tainan Papu Cultural Tourism Accommodation Discounts
The weekday price for a family room for four is around NT$2,700, which the wealthy man considers quite affordable for a new hotel. Incidentally, weekend hotel prices in Tainan are really expensive, often costing NT$4,000 to NT$5,000.
Tainan Papu Cultural Tourism Introduction
Papo'a Labs transforms an old building into a retro-modern space. The hotel's exterior is a low-key cement color, while the interior is decorated with a very high-quality feel.

hotel lobby
The understated and minimalist hotel lobby was to the wealthy man's liking; the colors and furniture used by Passat Resorts were very tasteful. Check-in requires a short online registration process; only after completing the registration and uploading identification documents will you receive the room access code.

The Parfum Resort offers a free 24-hour coffee machine on the first floor, but unfortunately it was broken on the day the wealthy guest checked in. The first-floor lounge area features a variety of stylish designer chairs.

The wealthy man really liked this wall; it was made of different bricks and tiles, making it very unique and reminiscent of Tainan's old capital.

Family Room
This time I stayed in a family room on the fifth floor. The door required a password to open, so high-tech! Actually, a password lock is quite good; it saves me from having to ask the hotel for two sets of keys, and it's also environmentally friendly.

The photo shows the family room after the door is opened. The wealthy man felt that the room was not very spacious, but the aisle was wide enough, and it did not feel cramped after putting his luggage down.

The family room has two double beds. The wealthy man really liked the color scheme and the pattern of the throw pillows at the Parsons Resort, as the design was very sophisticated.

There's a small refrigerator at the entrance, but no bottled water is provided because there's a water dispenser outside. Thumbs up to this eco-friendly millionaire!

The bathroom features a separate wet and dry area, and the polka-dot patterned floor tiles are a favorite of the wealthy man. It's worth mentioning that the showerhead has an extremely strong water jet; it's so powerful that the water sprays quite high, and the young man almost couldn't get a proper shower (laughs).

breakfast
Papu Resort doesn't currently offer breakfast, but hopefully they will in the future. Near Chihkan Tower, there's a charcoal-grilled sandwich shop. The sandwiches are grilled using a gas stove, not actual charcoal, but the food is delicious – highly recommended!
dinner
Papu Cultural Tourism is not yet offering dinner. After checking in, the wealthy family rushed to the nearby Xiao Haozhou Satay Hot Pot restaurant. It lived up to its reputation, with a long queue already formed at 5 pm. Fortunately, there were plenty of seats inside, and they got a table after a short wait. They were really lucky.
Rich man’s experience evaluation
Overall, the wealthy man quite liked the Parkview Resort. The location was convenient, with plenty of restaurants nearby. The overall design was very harmonious and blended seamlessly with Tainan's old capital, making for a comfortable stay. There was no paint smell. Unfortunately, the soundproofing could be improved; the sound of running water could be heard in the bathroom.
Papu Resort currently has no parking lot! Parking is also difficult near the hotel, so drivers should take note! Hopefully, the facilities can be improved.
