It is only a 3-minute walk away. Seodaemun Prison The prison is a modern prison built by the Japanese government in 1907. At that time, the Japanese colonial government was carrying out an assimilation policy in Korea and severely suppressed the rebels. Anyone who violated the orders of the Japanese government would be imprisoned here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seodaemun Prison officially opened to the public on November 5, 1988. It allows visitors to understand the history and background of the Korean independence movement and the lofty value of pursuing freedom and peace. She and her classmates organized demonstrations and marches in cities and villages in Jeollanam-do, and organized joint protests of students and citizens. During this movement, Yoo Gwan-soon was tortured after being arrested for participating in demonstrations, but she still stood by her beliefs and ideas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the detention center, Yoo Kwan-soon was tortured and tortured, but she did not give up her faith and her desire for national independence. Eventually, she died of frail health at the young age of 19. Yoo Kwan-soon&#039;s death made her a symbol and hero of the Korean independence movement, and her spirit and contributions had a major impact on South Korea&#039;s independence and modernization. She is also known as the &quot;Korean Joan of Arc&quot;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ryu Gwan-soon&#039;s courage and sacrifice provided inspiration and motivation for the Korean people to persevere and struggle until 1945, when Korea finally achieved national independence.
