Aero K can cancel airline tickets

I booked round-trip tickets from Taipei to Cheongju, South Korea three months in advance, to see what there is to do in Cheongju.

Aero K (Airline Introduction)

Aero K (Korean: 에어로케이, pronounced backwards as Korea (XD)) is a low-cost carrier based in Cheongju, South Korea. It currently operates direct flights between Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) and Cheongju International Airport (CJJ) in South Korea. This route uses Airbus A320 aircraft.

Flight booking

Actually, none of the suppliers I found through Skyscanner were cheaper than Aero K Airlines' official website. The website offers three fare options: Lite, Basic (including 15kg of baggage), and Plus. This time, I chose Basic, which cost about NT$6,600. That price should be reasonable for the summer vacation.

Flight cancellation

Suddenly, the wealthy man received a letter in Korean. Initially, he thought it was a scam, thinking, "Scammers are really clever these days; they even knew I booked with Key Airways, and the order number is correct!" He ignored it. A few days later, however, he became increasingly suspicious and checked again. Just to be safe, he contacted online customer service on the official website. After verification, his return flight was indeed cancelled!

Flight cancellation notice

The email title is: [AEROK] 항공기비운항안내

The letter's title and body were entirely in Korean, which the wealthy man couldn't understand. Luckily, AI came to the rescue. The reason for the cancellation was a change in business plans to ensure operational efficiency and flight safety.

Cancellation process

Following the instructions in the flight cancellation email, and to avoid lengthy waits on customer service calls, the wealthy man decided to cancel his ticket himself on the Aero K airline's official website. After logging in, he could see his booked ticket.

Click "View Details" to see the ticket details, select the passengers you want to cancel, and then click "Next".

Before canceling, please confirm that the refund amount is correct. Because it is an official cancellation, there is no cancellation fee, as shown in red in the image: 0 yuan.

After confirming that everything is okay, press "Cancel Reservation" to complete the cancellation (sigh).

That completes the refund application. I don't know when I'll receive the refund, I'll update you later.
